About
One person, the whole thing.
I’m a freelance developer and designer, based in London. Some of what I build starts from nothing. Some of it replaces a platform a business has outgrown. Either way it’s the same job: the site, the system behind it, and the brand around it.
Most people who come to me aren’t really after a website. They want something that’s theirs.
A shop on Shopify with all the actual work happening in spreadsheets next to it. Six and a half thousand products on WordPress that nobody can manage. A barber paying Booksy every month to hold his own customer list. The platform got them started, then quietly turned into the thing holding them back.
Other times there’s no platform to come off at all. Live Watch Stock started as a wall of WhatsApp messages and an idea, and ended up as a product on the App Store. Starting from nothing is the same job as replacing something, just without the clearing up first.
Either way I build the thing itself. A front end designed for the business, and a back office built around how the people there work day to day, not a new theme sat on top of the same problem or another monthly app bolted onto the pile. Then I stay on and keep it running, because software nobody looks after stops being worth much pretty quickly.
I do the strategy, the brand, the design, the build and the launch myself. That’s unusual, and it’s the main reason to use me instead of an agency. Nothing gets lost being passed between three people, and the person you talk to is the person building it.

Why one person
What’s true of every job I take.
No jargon, and no making you feel stupid
Most of the people I work with don’t do this for a living, and there’s no reason they should. You won’t get a document full of terms you have to go and look up, and you’ll never be made to feel like you should already know something. I explain it in normal words, as many times as it takes.
You’re never left in the dark
Contact me as often as you like. Ask anything, including the questions you think are obvious, because none of them are stupid. You’ll know what’s happening without having to chase me for it.
Gone over with a fine tooth comb
I go through every detail. Spacing, wording, the small things nobody consciously notices but everybody feels. It has to look right and work right, not one or the other. I’d rather spend the extra day getting it exactly right than hand you something that’s nearly there.
Treated like it’s my own business
I take on a small number of projects and I genuinely care how each one turns out. You get someone invested in it working, not an agency running your job alongside thirty others and moving on the day it goes live.
You own what I build
Every project here takes a business off a platform it was renting and puts it on one it owns. No monthly fee for the privilege of taking your own bookings or listing your own stock.
Built in weeks, not quarters
An agency would treat a catalogue of six and a half thousand products as a project with a team on it and a timeline to match. I take that on by myself. The work on this site is the evidence, so you don’t have to take my word for it.
Shown honestly
Not everything here has launched, and every page says plainly which. If I won’t overclaim on my own site, I’m not going to start on yours.
Working together
Built, hosted, and not dumped on you to run.
Hosted and looked after
Your site and your systems can be hosted and maintained for you, rather than handed over as a folder of files. It keeps running, it keeps getting updated, and when something does go wrong it’s somebody’s job to sort it. Mine.
Billed whichever way suits you
Either the hosting sits in your own account, in your name, and you pay for it directly. Or I run the lot and put it on my invoice with the admin included, so you get one bill and nothing to manage.
A project, or an hourly rate
Bigger pieces of work get scoped and priced up front, so you know the number before anything starts. Smaller jobs and changes are billed by the hour, as and when you want them.
Or kept on retainer
If you’d rather have someone on hand than raise a job every time, a monthly retainer keeps me available for changes, fixes and new work without starting from scratch each time. I go in and check the thing every month whether you’ve asked me to or not, and you get a short note telling you what I looked at and what I did, including the months where the answer is that it’s all running fine.
